Benjamin Edols and Kathy Elliott

Benjamin Edols (b.1967) and Kathy Elliott (b.1964) both graduated from the Canberra School of Art. They travelled to the United States and began working together in 1993 and have since formed an enduring partnership in life and work. Their unique glass pieces have been exhibited extensively throughout Australia and internationally, including major solo exhibitions in the United States. Their works are held in several major public collections and are sought after by private collectors around the world.

In 2000 Edols and Elliott established their studio in the northern Sydney suburb of Brookvale. They run the studio as a sustainable small business, with the physical layout based on a traditional glass factory. Edols specialises in glass-blowing and creating the glass forms, while Elliott specialises in cold working, altering the surface of the glass by cutting, grinding and polishing. With a team of assistants they produce elegant one-off works and a limited range of production pieces.
