Marc Pascal (b.1959) established his company in 1994, after completing a degree in industrial design from RMIT University. He worked for a few years designing commercial lighting products for Schiavello (a leading Australian design and manufacturing company). Since then Pascal has built a significant reputation in Australia for his emotionally engaging and innovative lighting and ceramics. He now works with a small team of part-time staff who assist with the fabrication of components and the assembly of finished products in his Melbourne studio.
A key feature of Pascal’s work is that it is produced in small, controlled batches. This enables him to control costs and quality, and provides him with a valuable capacity for customisation. Pascal wholesales directly to regular stockists in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and fills a steady stream of custom orders. He continually blends art and design in his work and presents new products and ideas in both art gallery exhibitions and commercial trade fairs.
